What we store
Startup Crossover stores what you submit. The Thursday list sends a confirmation message, then issues after you confirm.
Email addresses are stored with the consent text shown on the form. The lists are the Thursday note and the weekly top crossovers.
We also store pair submissions, sponsor applications, correction notes, and votes. A vote is a like or a dislike. A dislike includes a reason: vague, obvious, or already exists.
We do not sell personal information. A confirmation message is sent after you join the Thursday list. Thursday issues go out only after you confirm, and each issue includes an unsubscribe link. A postal address is shown in that footer when one is set.
Page visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics. That count records the page path, the referrer, the country, and the browser, OS and device. Visitors are counted with an anonymized identifier derived from the request, without a cookie, and that count is not sold.
Form submissions store a salted hash of the IP address, used to limit how often a form can be sent.
A vote keeps a random voter id in this browser's local storage.
